Privacy Policy for Sixloom
Last Updated: September 6, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Sixloom ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our mobile application ("Sixloom" or the "App"), available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
By creating an account or using Sixloom, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide Directly
- Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and any profile information you choose to add. Accounts are required to use the App.
- Payment Information: If you make purchases or subscribe within the App, payment details (such as card information) are collected and processed by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not store your full payment card details on our own servers.
1.2 Conversations and Content
- Chat Content: We collect the messages, prompts, and content you send to Sixloom's AI assistant, whether in a one-on-one conversation or within a Smart Group, in order to generate responses and provide the App's features.
- Smart Groups: In Smart Groups, the AI assistant participates alongside human members to reduce noise and surface relevant information. This means your messages within a Smart Group may be visible to the AI and to other members of that group, consistent with the group's membership and your sharing settings (see Section 1.4).
- Matching Data: To match you with other users, groups, or content, we process information you choose to share (such as interests, goals, and profile details) and, where enabled, your usage and location data. Matching is based on this information and is only shown to other users to the extent you have permitted (see Section 1.4).
1.3 Information Collected Automatically
- Location Data: With your permission, we collect precise or approximate location data to provide location-based features (such as local matching). You can disable location access at any time in your device settings.
- Photos, Camera, and Microphone: With your permission, the App may access your device's camera, microphone, and photo library to allow you to capture or upload content, including within chats and Smart Groups. We only access these when you actively use a related feature.
- Usage Analytics: We collect information about how you interact with the App, including features used, session duration, crash logs, and device/app diagnostics, to help us improve the App.
1.4 Your Sharing and Visibility Controls
Sixloom is built so that you control who sees your data. You can manage, within the App:
- Which parts of your profile, interests, and shared data are used for matching and are visible to other users
- Which groups or individuals can see specific content you post
- Whether your data is used to match you with new users or groups at all
Data you choose to keep private is not shared with other users, but may still be processed by us and our service providers (see Section 3) to operate the App, including generating AI responses and safety/abuse monitoring.
1.5 Information from Third-Party Sign-In
If you choose to log in using Google, Apple, or Facebook, we receive basic profile information from those services (such as your name and email address) as permitted by your privacy settings with that provider.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and manage your account
- Provide, operate, and maintain the App's features, including AI-generated responses in chats and Smart Groups
- Match you with other users, groups, or content based on shared interests and preferences, subject to your visibility settings
- Process payments and manage subscriptions
- Personalize your experience (e.g., location-based features)
- Monitor and analyze usage trends to improve performance and features
- Communicate with you about updates, security alerts, and support
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or technical issues, including harmful or abusive content in chats and groups
- Comply with legal obligations
3. Third-Party Services We Use
Sixloom relies on the following third-party service providers to operate. Each processes data on our behalf and maintains its own privacy and security practices:
| Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Supabase | Backend database, authentication, and data storage |
| Stripe | Payment processing |
| Expo | App framework, push notifications, and app updates |
| Amazon Web Services (AWS) | Cloud hosting and file/media storage |
| Google Sign-In | Optional account authentication |
| Apple Sign-In | Optional account authentication |
| Facebook Login | Optional account authentication |
| OpenAI | AI-generated chat and Smart Group responses |
| xAI (Grok) | AI-generated chat and Smart Group responses |
| Anthropic (Claude) | AI-generated chat and Smart Group responses |
| Google (Gemini) | AI-generated chat and Smart Group responses |
When you send a message in a chat or Smart Group, its content is transmitted to one or more of the above AI providers in order to generate a response. We select which provider handles a given request based on factors like feature and performance needs. We use these providers' commercial/business API services, under which your content is not used to train their models by default. Each provider processes this content under its own terms and data-handling practices, and may retain it briefly (typically up to 30 days) for abuse monitoring and service operation purposes.
These providers may process your data in countries other than your own. We only share the minimum data necessary for each provider to perform its function.
4. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information:
- With the third-party service providers listed above, to operate the App
- If required by law, subpoena, or legal process
- To protect the rights, property, or safety of Sixloom, our users, or others
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to you
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see Section 7).
6. Data Security
We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures — including encryption in transit and access controls provided by our infrastructure partners (Supabase, AWS) — to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Rights and Choices
Account Deletion
You can delete your account at any time directly within the App by going to Settings > Delete Account. When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where we are legally permitted or required to retain certain information (e.g., transaction records for tax/legal compliance). Some information may briefly remain in backups during this 30-day window before being purged.
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access, correct, or update your personal information
- Request deletion of your account and data
- Withdraw consent for location, camera, microphone, or photo access at any time via device settings
- Adjust your matching and visibility settings to control what data is shared with other users or used for matching
- Object to or restrict certain processing, including profiling used for matching
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
- Opt out of non-essential communications
- Request a copy of your data (data portability)
We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests.
To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@sixloom.com.
California and EU/UK Residents
If you are a California resident, the CCPA/CPRA may give you additional rights regarding your personal information. If you are located in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, the GDPR may apply, and you may have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
8. Children's Privacy
Sixloom is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at privacy@sixloom.com so we can delete it.
9. International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in countries other than your country of residence, including the United States, where our service providers (e.g., AWS, Stripe, Supabase) operate. We take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers.
10. App Store Disclosures
- Apple App Store: Data collected by Sixloom, as disclosed in this policy, is used to provide app functionality and may be linked to your identity, as described in our App Store "Privacy Nutrition Label."
- Google Play: Sixloom's data collection and handling practices are disclosed in the Google Play "Data Safety" section, consistent with this policy.
11. Push Notifications
If you enable push notifications, Sixloom and our service providers (e.g., Expo) may process information necessary to deliver those notifications to your device. You can disable push notifications at any time through your device settings or, where available, in-app notification settings.
12. Third-Party Links and Services
The App may contain links to third-party websites, services, or content not operated by us. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third parties, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party service before providing them with personal information.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy in the App or on our website with a new "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
